Bill Brucker ’99, MS ’16, named executive director of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center (SM&NC) has announced Bill Brucker ’99, MS ’16, as its new executive director, succeeding Melissa Mulrooney, who is retiring after 20 years of leadership. Brucker, a Stamford resident, brings more than two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and community engagement. Most recently, Brucker served as chief advancement officer at Family Centers, one of Fairfield County’s largest nonprofit providers of health, education and human services. He helped raise over $7 million annually, strengthened financial reserves, and expanded partnerships across Stamford and the surrounding region.

I recently got married and was lucky to have five of my best friends from Quinnipiac as bridesmaids. We also had some other great Quinnipiac friends at the wedding, including five of us from the physical therapy program. I'm so thankful to Quinnipiac for giving me these lifelong best friends!

Alex Leafer ’13 met his wife, Kendall, 18 years ago at a film program. After 11 years of friendship, they started dating in 2018 and were married on Sept. 6, 2025, on a mountain in Park City, Utah.

Hello! I am Samantha Castella (formerly Fanelli), a QU Class of 2016 graduate, and I'm so excited to announce I wrote a children's book, Minty's Scoop on School! As a mom and pediatric PT, I'm passionate about helping kids grow with confidence, which is why this story is so close to my heart! Megan (Donnelly) Aikens-Kinney ’20, MBA ’21, and Connor Aikens-Kinney ’19 were married April 5, 2025, in Prospect, CT, by Justin Kile, professor of industrial engineering and director of the industrial engineering program in the School of Computing & Engineering. The ceremony was attended by several QU alumni.

Alex (Larsen) Hull ’17 marries husband in Pennsylvania

Alex (Larsen) Hull ’17 was married on June 10, 2023, at the historic Philander Chase Knox Estate at Valley Forge National Park in Malvern, PA. She and her husband, Ned, live in her home state of Pennsylvania. Since the wedding, they have added a four-legged golden retriever “fur baby,” named June, to the family.
